about Friday night sessions
Can all parents and children
please not enter the poolside until 7pm.
If unsure of the time, please wait until you see all the swimming
lane markers are put away.
Also can all people stay in the changing rooms, not blocking the
entrance to the poolside.

Aberfan Canoe Club
is an active , friendly, family club based in Aberfan, South Wales, UK.
The club is actively involved in canoeing at all levels from recreational
to international competition. We are affiliated to the Canoe Wales and the British Canoe Union (BCU) and have over 25
experienced, nationally qualified coaches who give their time free of
charge.

Club History
Aberfan Canoe Club was founded in 1974. We are an
active , friendly, family club based in Aberfan, South Wales, UK. The club
is actively involved in canoeing at all levels from recreational to
international competition. We are affiliated to the Canoe Wales and
the British Canoe Union (BCU) and have over 25 experienced, nationally
qualified coaches who give their time free of charge. The
aim of the club is to promote and develop canoeing in the area.
Pool Sessions
We run a weekly pool
session on Fridays all year round for people to learn and develop their
skills in a warm safe environment. The sessions are held at Aberfan
Pool,
Ynysowen Community Centre, Pantglas Road, Aberfan, CF48 4QE (A
map is available here).
Pool session
times are :
First Session -
7:00pm - 8:00pm
Second Session - 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Third Session - 9:00pm - 10:00pm
£2.50 per session
members -
equipment and instruction provided free of charge
All you need to bring
is your towel and bathers, the club will provide all the equipment you
require.
Whether you're young or old, have never sat in a boat before or an
experienced paddler looking for someone to paddle with, you are welcome to
join us. All that we ask is that you are able to swim the length of the
pool wearing a buoyancy aid.
